Super Sweet Charity Bake Sale!

Bake sale for Make A Wish & an unexpected surprise from the landlord.

At the start of the year, our employees voted “Make a Wish UK,” to be our chosen charity for any fundraising done in 2019. We have been doing various things at all our offices across the UK including “Casual-Fridays.” As well as other events in order to raise some funds for Make a Wish. With the first bake sale under our belts, we have now raised about £150.

Just as we were all set up an unexpected bonus came from Cannon & ARK’s landlord. Who sent a pair of amazing Betty’s cakes, a Victoria Sponge and an Almond Raspberry Cake that looked so good it felt criminal to cut them up! So, a huge thank you to the landlords at Industrials UK. It was a really thoughtful gesture, really incredible cakes, raising money for an amazing cause!

Staff from the ARK & Cannon offices prepared a desert carts worth of baked goodies such as lemon cheese cake, Jaffa-cakes, cornflake tarts, cookies, flapjacks and various cupcakes. Some of which looked suspiciously professional (in their supermarket packaging!)

Additionally, we invited all our business park neighbours. Groups of people from Metro-Rod (Drain care & repair experts), Bio-Spectrum (advanced medical devices) came to our office they donated very generously which was also very much appreciated.

We were all surprised to see that just from our small bake sale we had raised over £75. A big-big thank you to everyone who came and donated either money or their own delicious baking, it was a fun day in the office. We couldn’t have done it without the teamwork of staff from both Cannon & ARK.

 

Warrington

Meanwhile, over at our Warrington office, we managed to raise £15 pushing the bakes sale total to just under £100.
