An EGG-cellent way to raise some money for charity

As part of our fundraising this year the entire APG group is raising money for Make-a-Wish UK. This month VRC did an Easter Raffle and Bake sale in their Bristol office.

VRC had a cake donated from a local baker called Jane Stranks from Dulce Gourmet Bakery. Who donated a beautifully designed cake that looked like an Easter rabbit.  We held a raffle that was for both internal staff, customers and neighbours on the Alpha Centre business park. The lucky winner was Karl Platt from Matrix Security & Training.

In total the Bristol bake sale raised £34 with £80 from Ollerton bake sale last month and when combined with the other fundraising activity such as Dress-Down-Friday we are now approaching £200 for Make-a-Wish UK.

Charity is part of our group culture; it is very important to give to the less fortunate. In this case, we will be able to contribute to the amazing work that the Make-A-Wish Foundation does. This is a very worthy charity with a truly great cause & we are looking forward to supporting the charity as a group.

Rebecca Castle said the following

“Emma and I bought in some cakes for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. And the winner of the cake was announced around lunchtime.”

Meanwhile at the Ollerton office over the weekend we had a surprise in the form of little knitted spring chickens that contained little chocolate crème eggs left on everyone’s desk.
